Stitch Standards

I am using the US/International Standard Crochet Terms

Foundation Chains

This stitch requires multiple of 2 stitches + 1 + additional 1 for the base chain
Example: If you are to make 20 stitches, add an extra chain, and another 1 chain for the base, giving you a total of 22 chains.

Row 1 (Wrong Side)

Skip 2 chains (this counts as 1 single crochet), 1 single crochet into the next and each of the next chain all the way across, turn.

Row 2 (Right Side)

Chain 2 (this counts as 1 half double crochet), 1 MC stitch inserting hook into the first and then into the third stitch, * chain 1, 1 MC stitch inserting hook into the same stitch as previous MC stitch. Repeat from * ending last repeat into the turning chain (do not chain 1), 1 half double crochet into the same stitch, and turn.

Row 3 (Wrong Side)

Chain 1, skip first stitch, 1 single crochet into the next and each stitch all the way across, where the last stitch is on top of the turning chain, turn.
Repeat rows 2 and 3 to continue
Have a great day!
